Ambrette (Abelmoschus Moschatus)

Ambrette Seeds

Peruvian Ambrette contains the pods of the hibiscus plant, with its main compound being Ambrettolide.

Ambrette production takes place between 300 and 1,000 meters above sea level, in the upper region of the Peruvian rainforest. There is no seasonality in its collection, since the region’s tropical climate is permanent.

During its management in the field, there is no use of agrochemicals, ensuring 100% organic production.

Ambrette Essential Oil

Ambrette Essential Oil is an intensely rich, sweet, floral essential oil with some nuances of nuts. In the fragrance industry, Peruvian Ambrette Essential Oil works as an excellent fixative, with an invigorating effect, which improves the quality of the perfume.

Additionally, this type of Ambrette is the only plant-based type in the industry, making it a much healthier option compared to synthetic ambrettes for use in perfume formulas.

The farmers, in the native communities with which we work, are in charge of manually separating the Ambrette seeds from the pods they are found in, and then they are transported to our factory in Lima. Once the seeds are received in our facilities, the essential oil is obtained through a hydro-distillation process.
