Maca is a herbaceous plant, native from the Peruvian Andes and cultivated more than 4,000 meters above sea level. Native communities from centuries ago to the present day consume this product.
It is a root that has plant-based protein, fibre, vitamins, and minerals (vitamin C, iron, calcium, magnesium, copper, and zinc). It also highlights its content in polyunsaturated fatty acids, alkaloids, plant sterols and glucosinolates, which are the active ingredients in this product.
